During half term as a group decide that we wanted to try out shooting our time lapse. So we took the camera over the weekend. As Filippa had a great view from her window we thought her house would be perfect. when we returned from our half term holiday. We then looked at the footage and found out due to the camera and editing software we couldn't really achieve the correct look for our time lapse. But as we filmed it so early on we had time to change our ideas. However some of the footage was usable.
Our song is called 'Mr blue sky', now as a group we soon realised this came as somewhat a hindrance. Correction big hindrance. On our 1st day of filming we had a bright sunny and blue sky. Which is what we wanted for our video. But after that day the weather declined quickly which was very frustrating. So instead of filming in our next lesson. We decide to edit what we filmed already. In some ways this was an advantage for us as we got the 1st minute and a half completed of the song in that lesson. And we knew exactly what we wanted to film next. But the weather persisted to be dark and grey. This worried us as we were running out of time.
As a group we decided to film on our day off, and the weather was bright and blue. This filming session went rather well. we started rather early in the morning so we could get the use of the sunlight. We also wanted to film rather quickly as sylvda was freezing. I felt the one thing that we needed to film was base tracks. which proved in the end very helpful. Another thing we achieved in this filming session was the scene with other actors. We really needed to develop our story line including the mysterious Mr blue sky character.
