Shortlist of Potenial songs

As a group, one of our first inital ideas for a song, was to do a 80's reggae song. Unfortunately, we could not find a song in this genre that was British. So we had to research other genre's.

We looked at Dusty Springfeild. At this point we were still going for a song that was sang in the 80's. Our song choice for Dusty Springfeild was "son of a preacher man" . However, the song was too slow, we decided that we wanted an up beat song.

We researched Natasha Bedingfeild. We decided for our song to have a more urban feel to it. The song we looked at was "These words". Unfortunately, we could not do this song, as we found out that another group chose this song. We also researched her other songs, but we were not fond of them.

We researched Joss Stone. We looked up her version of "son of a preacher man". We liked her style, and the way she say the song , as it is more up beat to the original. However, the vocal is too complicated.

Finally we chose Lily Allen. The song choice was "Mister Blue Sky".
