Digipak analysis 2 (Research)

This is the digipak for lily Allen's last album before she decided to start her hiatus. Lily Allen is also the artist who done the cover for our music video song 'mr blue sky'. The main colour scheme for this front cover is pink, black and a dusty white/pink background. The artist name is in clear black letters , with also a big black 'L' in the center with Lily sitting within the letter. I feel it was a very good idea to make sure the artist name stood out on this album as there isn't a clear close up of lily on the cover. So the name would be the instant selling point for the audience to recognise , even from a far distant. Also the album name is in a total different colour then the artist name (A light pink). But it matches lily outfit. I feel this album cover again ties into the pop genre as it again has got the bright colour theme.

The back use the same kind of big letter theme, but this time they have injected colour into some of the letters. Again withe the same font. This shows a clear link between the front and back cover of the CD. Also on the back it has her website and myspace page alongside copyright and record label information with barcode. Even though there is no image of the artist on the back the audience can still recognise its a Lily Allen album .
