Anaysis of 3 digipaks
Kate Nash is a british pop artist, this is her platinum selling UK number 1 album "Made of Bricks". The front of the album cover, is fairly simply and anamatic. It contains the artist name, the name of the album and an image of the artist. However, the image of the artist is not a mid shot, it is a long shot of her walking towards the doll house. The scheme of colour, has been kept to a minimum and to the theme. Using the colours blue, white and grey. The visual style of the album cover relates to one of her music videos called "mouthwash". "Mouthwash", is a quirky video containing action super heros dancing on stage, while Kate is playing the piano. This links in with the album cover as, it has some kind of make believe theme towards it. The back of the digipak contains, the track listings, the company name, the barcode, the copyright restrictions and the website. The inside is just simply the CD with the artist name.
Natasha Bendingfeild is a british pop artist, this is her first album "Unwritten". Being her first album, the front cover is a mid shot of her face, very simple. It contains the artist name, the name of the album and an image of the artist. The scheme of colour, has been kept to a minimum and to the theme. Using the colours brown, white and cream. The visual style of the album cover relates to one of her music videos called "Unwritten". "Unwritten", is a simple video of mostly her face, containing mid shots and close ups. This links in with the album as we can see only her. The colours on the digipak also link in with the video colours. The back of the digipak contains, the track listings, the company name, the barcode, the copyright restrictions and the website.
Leona Lewis is a british pop artist, this is one of her released albums "Spirit". It contains the artist name, the name of the album and an image of the artist. The scheme of colour, has been kept to a minimum and to the theme. Using the colours black, white and grey. The visual style of the album cover relates to one of her music videos called "Bleeding love". Bleeding love", is a slow, soul song. With Leona singing, and with scenes of people going through different problems and crisis. The video links with the album cover, as the album cover uses dark colours, which links in with the video, "Bleeding love" the fact that it is sad as poeple are going through hard times. The back of the digipak contains, the track listings, the company name, the barcode, the copyright restrictions and the website. The inside is just simply the CD with the artist name, the album cover and the list of tracks.
